The Archival Eye is a film blog that examines items from (mostly) online moving image collections. We look at everything from educational films and old newsreels to public service films and ephemeral VHS releases, in the hopes of uncovering historical objects that compel, delight, or educate a wider audience.
We are information professionals, but at the end of the day, we are enthusiasts, not experts. We welcome all opinions, from the dabbling hobbyist to the hardcore cinephile. Happy watching.
Do you know of a film that we should cover? Want to contribute? Email us with submissions, thoughts, and feedback.
